An Overview of the Palestinian Economy. July

The objective of this study was to present to
our client an overview of the Palestinian economy
with information tailored to their needs. The report
covered three main sections that dealt with business
environment in Palestine, major economic activities,
and other specific information.
The first section covered an overview of the
political and socio-economic environment, economic
indictors, Israeli-Palestinian economic relations,
economic relations with other countries, and public
and private sectors' roles and interactions. The
second section dealt with the major economic sectors
of industry, agriculture, trade, and services. The
third section reflected on procedures to organize
various forms of businesses, applicable commercial
law, and encouragement of investment law,
identifying main economic players and investors, an
overview on the Palestinian economy's weaknesses and
strengths, Israeli impact on specific sub-sectors,
the role of Palestinian informal sector, the donor
countries projects and their financing policies and
procedures. |
